This green juice is packed with vitamins, minerals and live enzymes, giving you a boost at any time of the day. This juice recipe is the first in a series by our friends at Breville. Look forward to seeing more exciting, nourishing juices coming your way.

Why these ingredients?

Spinach

Nutrient dense, spinach is naturally high in iron, which can help boost your blood’s ability to carry oxygen.

Lemon

The acids in lemon juice helps preserve the natural color of fruits and vegetables, and its wealth of vitamin C and antioxidants helps reduce the oxidation of essential nutrients in any juice concoction.

Cucumber

Refreshing cucumber is rich in dietary silica, which supports healthy hair, skin and nails.

Ginger

This root can add a warming burst of flavor; ginger is used traditionally to promote digestion.

Ingredients

  • 1 handful spinach (use organic if possible)
  • ½ a lime
  • 1 peeled lemon
  • 1 large cucumber
  • 1 cored apple
  • ¼ inch slice of ginger (too much ginger can overpower a juice)

Preparation

  • Remove zest from lemon.

  • Remove rind from lime (if not organic).

  • Wash cucumber and apple

  • Juice all ingredients in your juicer.

  • Drink your juices immediately to get the maximum nutritional benefits and taste.
