In the mood to treat yo’self this Valentine’s Day? This simple 5-ingredient smoothie tastes like a decadent dessert and is sure to help with your chocolate cravings.
- 1 big fistful of spinach
- 1 serving Chocolate Vega® Essentials
- or Chocolate Vega One™ Nutritional Shake
- or Chocolate Vega® Protein & Greens
- 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk beverage
- 1 tsp raw cacao powder or unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
- 6-8 ice cubes
- Optional garnishes: cacao nibs, flaked coconut, sliced fresh strawberries
Add all ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth.
Adjust the consistency with a little more almond milk or ice if needed.
Pour into a glass and serve.
To keep the smoothie tasting rich and super chocolatey, try using frozen strawberries, and don’t add extra ice. This will reduce the need for ice while keeping the smoothie’s consistency thick.
