Dark Chocolate Strawberry Smoothie

In the mood to treat yo’self this Valentine’s Day? This simple 5-ingredient smoothie tastes like a decadent dessert and is sure to help with your chocolate cravings.

Ingredients

  • 1 big fistful of spinach
  • 1 serving Chocolate Vega® Essentials
  • or Chocolate Vega One™ Nutritional Shake
  • or Chocolate Vega® Protein & Greens
  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk beverage
  • 1 tsp raw cacao powder or unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 6-8 ice cubes
  • Optional garnishes: cacao nibs, flaked coconut, sliced fresh strawberries

Preparation

  1. Add all ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth.

  2. Adjust the consistency with a little more almond milk or ice if needed.

  3. Pour into a glass and serve.

  4. Additional Notes:

    To keep the smoothie tasting rich and super chocolatey, try using frozen strawberries, and don’t add extra ice. This will reduce the need for ice while keeping the smoothie’s consistency thick.
