Superfood Breakfast – The Acai Bowl

Acai (ah-sah-EE); how fun is that to say?  Basically a smoothie finished with your healthy toppings, acai bowls are a delicious spin on the breakfast standard. If you are in the mood for a smoothie that is fun to make and fun to say, then enjoy an acai bowl. Feel free to experiment with your favorite toppings!


  • 2 frozen acai berry pack (unsweetened) (we used these)
  • ½ frozen banana
  • ½ cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 serving Berry Vega® Protein & Greens
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • Topping Options :
  • Gluten-free granola (the crunchier the better)
  • 1 tsp shredded coconut
  • 1-2 tsp goji berries
  • 1-2 tsp hemp seeds
  • Fresh blueberries and/or banana slices


  1. Blend all smoothie ingredients

  2. Scrape blender as required

  3. Add more orange juice if required. You want this smoothie to be extra thick so if you do add more juice, do it slowly and sparingly

  4. Add smoothie ingredients to a chilled bowl

  5. Top with your favorite toppings above (I’ll often use all of them)

  6. Enjoy!
