Fig Protein Smoothie

No this isn’t a fig-ment of your imagination! Whip up this delicious morning smoothie today. Don’t have fresh figs? No problem, just rehydrate dried figs found in the bulk section of your grocery store.

Ingredients

  • 2-3 whole, fresh figs (or ½ cup frozen, or ¼ cup dried, soaked in warm water for 20 minutes)
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 Tbsp almond butter
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ inch knob fresh ginger or ½ tsp dried ginger (or more to taste)
  • 1 serving Natural or French Vanilla Vega One™ Nutritional Shake
  • 1½ cup almond milk
  • 1 cup ice

Preparation

  • Combine all ingredients in blender, blend and enjoy!
