Summer Hydration Dos and Don’ts

Ever had a day go by in the summer where you’re just too busy to think about stopping for a snack or sip of water? Whether you’re wandering around town, gardening, enjoying the beach with friends, or simply reading a book outside, you still need to stay well hydrated. Here are some dos and don’ts for staying well hydrated all summer long.

DO: Find a fun and flavorful way to remember your water bottle

Find a reusable water bottle that is easy to carry around—by hand or tossed into your everyday bag. A fun design doesn’t hurt either. If what’s in your water bottle is flavorful, you’re much more likely to drink it. Add slices of fresh fruit, herbs, or an electrolyte powder for a little zing, as well as an antioxidant boost.

DON’T: Let the day go by without one sip

Using an alarm for when to reapply sunscreen? Remember your water then too. Have to run inside to grab something? Grab a drink on your way.

DO: Make your tea even more hydrating

Iced tea is a summer staple. Why not make it even more hydrating with Vega Sport Electrolyte Hydrator? Grab the recipe here

DON’T: Think just because you aren’t wearing gym clothes that you aren’t sweating

We all think about water and electrolytes while at the gym or out for a run, but spending the day in the sun also requires that you stay well hydrated. Sweat is our body’s simple way of preventing overheating. As we sweat we lose water and key electrolytes. Hydration is key to keeping your energy levels high and healthy all day long.

Vega Sport Electrolyte Hydrator has all the essential electrolytes your body needs, without sugar or artificial sweeteners. Just add 1 packet of Lemon-Lime or Berry to 2 to 3 cups of water and sip throughout the day!

No matter what better means to you, Vega shares the knowledge, nutrition, and inspiration to support your quest to thrive.
