As September begins, there are a few changes we’ll start to see in our outdoor routine as we make that transition into fall. Here are some tips to make this transition run a little more smoothly.
PRETTY COOL
As September rolls in, so do the cooler temperatures. What makes this so great, for all of us heat seekers? Well, we no longer have to wake up at the crack of dawn to go for our runs! Maybe you’re not a morning person, and now you can hit up a late afternoon run or hike without overheating.
DARKER DAYS, BRIGHTER LOOKS
Yes, the days become shorter, and daylight becomes scarcer, but this just means that if we’re going out for that evening run we can invite a friend along. Safety first. Get social and join a running group to not only keep you safe but to challenge you as well. With the days becoming shorter, it also makes for a great excuse to go shopping. Go get yourself some of the latest reflective gear, or some brightly colored running clothes to make you really stand out in the dark.
SO YOU LIKE IT HOT?
Find yourself daydreaming about that summer weather? If Fall means torrential downpours or drastically dropping temperatures, take your outdoor routine to your local gym, or keep it indoors at home.
