Healthy Office Snacks

It’s a Wednesday afternoon, you’ve been sitting at your desk reading countless emails and you get that familiar itch, the 3PM snack attack itch.  We’ve all been there, where we suddenly feel a little tired, perhaps even a little irritable, and you just feel like something to get you through the last stretch of the day.

Let’s face it, that itch might get scratched with another cup of coffee or the sweet treat you’ve been eyeing all day.  Instead, why not choose a snack that is nutrient dense, and includes a good source of dairy free protein powder to help you feel full  Paddon-Jones, D. , et al. Trail mix

Packed with delicious nuts and seeds, this snack is an easy go-to option that can be packed in advance and left at your desk to nibble on. If buying pre-mixed trail mix, look for blends that have more nuts than dried fruit or candy to get more protein per handful. Snack bars
