#AskVega FAQ: Are your ingredients organic?

Have a question we haven’t answered yet? Post using #AskVega and we’ll get right to it!

Q: “Are your ingredients organic?  I don’t see this listed on the package.”

A: This is a great question!  When you check out the ingredient panel of our labels, you’ll see “organic” in front of the specific ingredients that are certified organic.

Why aren’t all of our ingredients certified organic? We source organic ingredients where possible. We maintain a focus on small scale, domestic suppliers wherever possible to help out the little guys.  We believe in finding suppliers that have similar core values to Vega with whom we can build long-lasting partnerships. These suppliers may provide us with organically grown raw materials free from herbicides and pesticides, but might not have their organic certification. Organic certification is an extensive process that can be cost prohibitive for some of these smaller scale farms. Sustainability and sustainably grown ingredients is something that is very important to us, follow us on our Journey to Zero.
