In light of Vega fans’ thirst for knowledge, we offer a little hydration with one of our most frequently asked Vega Sport questions.
The whole Vega Sport® line has been created to use in tandem, but every product is stand alone as well, with the recovery products addressing all aspects of recovery including mental, hormonal, immunity, and soft tissue. While both are optimal for recovery, each provides a little something unique. Vega Sport® Recovery provides the ideal 4:1 carbohydrate to protein ratio and should be taken within 20-30 minutes after training. When used during the proper timing window, Vega Sport® Recovery can help replenish glycogen stores, as well as lower fatigue and soreness and is an ideal training tool after a high intensity session.
Vega® Sport Protein offers 30 grams of plant proteins, with 5.5 grams of branched chain amino acids which play an important role in stimulating protein synthesis and aid in muscle recovery. The proverbial icing on the Vega® Sport Protein cake is the addition 2 billion CFU of probiotics (bacillus coagulans), and tart cherry to support recovery.
The main difference lies in the timing: Vega Sport® Recovery immediately following a workout, and Vega® Sport Protein within 60 minutes. We don’t advise mixing them together as it will skew the Vega Sport® Recovery’s 4:1 carb ratio and well, we are little obsessed with optimum sports nutrition.
