Supply Network Team Lead

Overview

The Supply Network Team Lead (SNTL) is responsible for the leadership and development of the Supply Network team and for the order fulfillment process and service delivery across the supply chain. This team collaborates with customer logistics, sales, finance, and marketing to deliver promotions, new product launches, and manage at risk inventory allocations and day to day deliveries of FG to our network of eCom and retail customers. The Supply Network Team Lead is responsible for monitoring and analyzing services delivery metrics and supply chain performance. This position also has a strong focus on productivity and process improvement, including internal and external supply chains to create efficiencies and cost savings.

Key Responsibilities

Order Fulfillment Management

  • Collaborate with brand and sales teams to prioritize order fulfillment against promotion calendars, seasonal items and new item distribution
  • Identify opportunities, develop and implement efficiencies for improving the order fulfillment process
  • Determine mitigation strategies to resolve inventory shortfalls by identifying opportunities to improve order fill with resupply movements, moving customer orders to alternate shipping locations or allocating available inventory across customer orders
  • Manage large scale service interruptions by strategically partnering with the brand and planning teams to position inventory to company priorities to manage supply and demand throughout the distribution network
  • Monitor service performance and drive service improvement by analyzing root cause, recommending and implementing improvements to advance service performance
  • Oversee the collection of KPIs including on time delivery, on time shipping, fill rate, and customer, carrier scorecards
  • Collect, audit, analyze and report monthly KPIs to senior management
  • Oversee Lean Logistics for maintenance and outbound transaction processing including load tendering, web settle/invoicing and savings/efficiencies reporting
  • Develop and implement vendor compliance corrective action plans to reduce financial penalties and remove costs from the supply chain
  • Investigate and manage overages, shortages and damage claims
  • Review new account contracts/routing guides and approvals for any requirements outside of standard operating procedure
  • Review, analyze and approve vendor compliance guides and oversee implementation with supply chain partners

 

Productivity & Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to innovate, improve service and reduce cost. Analyze opportunities, develop recommendations and implement process improvements that deliver results
  • Drive cross functional collaboration with Supply Chain, Customer and Field Sales to achieve supply chain efficiencies
  • Develop and maintain process and procedure documentation
  • Develop and maintain training content; plans and provide training to new hires
  • Leading, mentoring and developing the Supply Network team

 

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field
  • 3-5 years in CPG business system experience in related area within Logistics, IT, Customer Service, Supply Chain or Sales preferred
  • ERP experience in a CPG environment (NetSuite preferred)
  • TMS experience (BluJay preferred)
