An exciting and challenging position exists as a Procurement Analyst at Vega’s head office in Burnaby, BC.  Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for development and maintenance of costing models, monitoring of contract performance and forecasting. You take procurement seriously while having fun at work with the Vega team!  You value integrity, customer service; you take ownership and show initiative in everything you do and are performance driven.  You not only love the culture, but contribute to it.   • Develop and maintain costing for all finished goods
  • Evaluate, execute, track and communicate cost changes for all materials
  • Resolve price discrepancies between purchase order and invoice
  • Generate Purchase Order History reports and analyze monthly and annual spend
  • Ensure that the ERP system is up to date and accurate
  • Identify potential improvements in the procurement process and systems
  • Create support tools for the procurement process
  • Identify cost savings opportunities
  • Generate forecasts and analyze future spend
  • Monitor vendor management process, to ensure compliance and performance
  • Maintain and enhance positive working relationships with suppliers and fellow Vegatopians
  • Work within a complex supply chain with many moving parts


  • 3-5 Years purchasing experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business related concentration preferred
  • Experience working with ERP software
  • Solid Excel skills and familiarity with Access
  • Strong sense of ownership and personal accountability is required
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and interact professionally with diplomacy and tact is a must
  • Well-developed negotiation skills and experience are required. A strong sense of urgency and time management skills with excellent initiative and follow-up capabilities are mandatory in this role
  • Ability to hit the ground running
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly detail oriented while maintaining higher-level strategic vision
