While we sure do love a good, cold-pressed, single-source extra virgin olive oil vinaigrette on salads, sometimes you need to switch your oils up to reap the most benefits—both for the sake of taste and nutrition! Swap in Vega Antioxidant Omega Oil Blend for a balanced source of essential fatty acids in your smoothies and salads.
Give your day an Omega boost
Vega Antioxidant Omega Oil Blend is a balanced mix of virgin Omega-rich oils (hemp, flax, pumpkin seed and coconut), as well as antioxidant-rich seed oils from green tea, black cumin and more. We know you care just as much about processing as we do, which is why Vega Antioxidant Omega Oil is cold-pressed and unrefined, as well as organic and non-GMO verified with the Non GMO Project. The resulting oil blend contains a unique combination of Omega-3, -6, and -9 essential fatty acids. (These fats are considered essential since your body cannot make Omega fatty acids on its own, so you must consume them through your diet). Each serving of Vega Antioxidant Omega Oil contains 6 grams of Omega-6, 3 grams of Omega-3, plus 3 grams of Omega-9.
Go the extra mile with phytosterols and chlorophyll
Vega Antioxidant Omega Oil goes one step further than most oils in your cupboard by being a source of phytosterols and chlorophyll. Each tablespoon provides 29 mg of phytosterols from black cumin seed oil, green tea oil, raspberry, cranberry and pomegranate seed oil, which combine with the remaining oils to provide 77% Daily Value of vitamin E. Vitamin E is a strong antioxidant that helps to promote overall well-being. Vega Antioxidant Omega Oil is also a good source of chlorophyll, which gives this oil a luscious green color.
Put it to work in your kitchen
While salad dressing is a natural fit for Vega Antioxidant Omega Oil (and this blackberry vinaigrette is delightful), there are plenty of other uses for it. Serve a roasted onion dip to friends or whip up a batch of protein balls to fuel you before or after a workout. While it’s best not to expose Vega Antioxidant Omega Oil Blend to high heat, it can easily be incorporated into your favorite warm soups, pasta, veggie or rice dishes, as well as dip and smoothie recipes. Yes, why not add an extra Omega-3 boost to your morning smoothie? Give this easy tomato and basil stacked salad a try at your next dinner party!
